Poema

Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Draft. These terms will be finalised before paid subscriptions open.

1. Who we are

Poema is made and provided by Andrei Ulianov, a sole trader in Lisbon, Portugal (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@poemaapp.com.

These terms apply to the Poema app for Windows, your Poema account and the cloud features of Poema (together, the “Service”).

2. Who handles payments

Subscriptions are sold through Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company), which acts as the reseller and merchant of record for your payment. Link processes the payment, charges applicable taxes and issues your invoices. Link’s own terms apply to the purchase: link.com/terms. Your card statement will show LINK.COM* POEMA.

We remain responsible for Poema itself: what it does, its quality, updates and support.

3. Your account

4. Free trial

New accounts get a 7-day free trial with full features. No payment card is needed, and the trial does not turn into a paid subscription by itself. When it ends, Poema asks you to subscribe.

5. Subscription and price

6. Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you may withdraw from the subscription within 14 days of your purchase without giving a reason. Use the “Withdraw from contract” function in your account on poemaapp.com, or write to support@poemaapp.com. We will confirm your withdrawal by email.

Before you pay, we ask you to confirm that you want your subscription to start right away. If you then withdraw, we refund the days you have not used yet, to the original payment method within 14 days. For example, if you paid €5 for a 30-day month and withdraw after 10 days, we refund the remaining 20 days: €3.33.

The discounted first month is available once per account.

When you cancel a subscription, it stays active until the end of the month you have paid for, and the rest of that month is not refunded. This does not limit your right of withdrawal or your other legal rights.

7. What the subscription includes

8. Text processed by AI

Cloud formatting and translation are done by AI language models. The result may contain errors or omissions. Check the text before you rely on it or send it. Poema does not give professional advice of any kind.

The text you dictate and the text Poema produces from it are yours. We do not claim any rights to them.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use Poema:

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where the law allows, we will tell you why first.

10. Countries

Poema is not available in every country. We may limit access, including the cloud features, by country. Using Poema from a country where it is not available, or getting around these limits, is not allowed.

11. Licence to use the app

While your trial or subscription is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Poema on up to two computers for your own use.

Poema includes third-party components, such as speech recognition and translation models, fonts and software libraries. They are provided under their own licences, which are listed in the THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt file installed with Poema. These terms do not restrict any rights you have under those licences.

12. Changes to Poema

We may change Poema to keep it working, secure and lawful, or to improve it. If a change makes Poema noticeably worse for you, we will tell you by email at least 30 days in advance, and you may end your subscription free of charge. This includes a decision to stop the cloud features.

13. Your legal rights

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights, including the right to a service that works as described. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. We are responsible for Poema working as described here.

14. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Poema and cancel your subscription anytime. You can also ask us to delete your account. We may end the agreement if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel before that date.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there.

If you have a complaint, please write to us first. Consumers in Portugal can also use the electronic complaints book at livroreclamacoes.pt. Information about consumer dispute resolution entities in Portugal is available at consumidor.gov.pt.
